Hans Joachim Weissflog was a student of Professor Gottfried Bockelmann, the
former Head and founder of the turning department at the School of Art and
Craft in Hildesheim, Germany. Ball-Box, Turned Broken Through was a major
breakthrough for Weissflog, allowing him to find his own artistic voice.
