Turning Points, the monthly electronic newsletter of the Wood Turning Center, serves the members of the Wood Turning Center and all others interested in the field of lathe-turned objects.
The mission of Turning Points compliments the mission of the Center itself by providing a vehicle for artists, critics and observers in the field to discuss:
- The creative and technical development of artists, craftspersons, students, and hobbyists, and their accomplishments.
- Historical and state-of-the-art information on lathe-turning involving academics, educators, curators, and all other interested individuals or groups.
- The art of woodturning as seen by collectors, museum and private gallery personell, and the general public.
- The evolution of the field of woodturning to promote understanding and appreciation.
- The activities and programs of the Wood Turning Center.
- Any topics that foster the growth, encouragement and enhancement of the lathe turning field through education, preservation and promotion.
