Decorating Turned Wood: The Maker’s Eye
Liz and Michael O'Donnell step away from the traditional concept of turnings being decorated only with clear finishes. Using photography to record shapes and colors, they move us through natural uses of color in objects that almost appear turned, and then start implementing their ideas with bowls that have colored interiors. From there, they move on to bowls colored outside and inside, and proceed to demonstrate, in color, just how the look was achieved.
