Stephen Hogbin has taken a pattern maker's approach to turning. Here he has cut bowl forms in half and reglued them in different positions, finding the asymmetrical in the symmetrical. Walnut Bowl of Walnut has such monumental power that it could be the model for a large scale city sculpture.
