The challenge in the vessel Passion, was to create a vase entirely out of leaf forms. I decided the leaves needed to be random, following the grain wherever possible, evolving up and outward. I wanted to leave openings to invite the eye (as well as light) inside the vessel, casting dancing shadows around the foot.<Challenge V
