Damaged Wood Gets a New Figure: Po Shun Leong. A series of hinged cabinets will open to reveal recycled materials and objects from different sources including wood from historic trees, broken bowls and orphaned objects. The cabinets connect to form a human-like figure.

Spanish Vargueno: Miguel Gomez-Ibanez and Joseph Reed. Based on its Renaissance prototype, the outside of the cabinet will be rough and meant to travel and the inside will reveal decorative qualities meant to surprise and astound. Twenty-sue drawers will be decorated with small oil paintings representing a botanical drawing for each letter of the alphabet.

Pod-shaped Cabinet: Gideon Hughes and Adolf Volkman. This work is bringing together a furniture artist and a pattern maker. Together they are designing a pod which will house a crank and pulley assembly to operate windows. The cabinet's windows will then prompt the viewer to look within and see the parts in motion.

Creature Cabinet: Michael Brolly, John Biggs, Zac Robbins and Chris Coggiano. This piece will feature two animatronic eyes that are responsive to the viewer via hidden sensors-one watching the viewer and the other allowing the viewer to look into the creature's navel.
